[BETA] Erankyuni is an Armenian decorative typeface built entirely out of triangles. The name is the Armenian word for triangle, and the construction is literal: every letter is assembled from the same small triangular module instead of being drawn as a stroke.
Working from one module gives the whole alphabet a faceted, crystalline texture and a consistent rhythm. At large sizes the individual triangles stay visible and read as pattern, which is where the face is at its most striking. At small sizes they merge and the letters lose their shape, so this is display type rather than something to read a paragraph in.
Use it for posters, titles, album and event artwork, logos, and social media graphics where the lettering is meant to be looked at rather than read quickly. It suits geometric, technical and experimental design work.
The font covers the complete Armenian alphabet, all 38 capitals and all 38 small letters, together with the ligature և, the full stop ։ and the question mark ՞. There is no Latin alphabet, no dram sign ֏, and a single Regular weight. Treat it as early work worth trying at display sizes.
