First Time Writing! is built on the letterforms children copy out when they first learn to write at primary school. The construction is plain and legible. Anyone who has filled a page of handwriting exercises will recognize the shapes.
The letters stay close to their skeletons. There is no calligraphic flourish and no decorative weight, so what you get reads as careful beginner handwriting, informal in character and still comfortable to read at text sizes.
